286 Pacific Highway is a landmark project for Crow’s Nest and the Sydney skyline. As the tower envelope is intrinsically informed by the solar access to the park and neighbouring cottages, the penthouse terraces enjoy a maximised usable area and wide sweeping views across the harbour and beyond. Given its location the tower achieves aspects along the stretch of Sydney harbour from Parramatta to Manly.

The site is split into two parts, one of which is a public park for commuters and allows access to the ground and lower ground retail spaces. As the park is accessible from either end of the site it enables an unfettered access to retail areas and the adjoining residential lobbies. This link at ground floor also integrates the urban cape on Pacific Highway with the landscaping on Sinclair St creating a dynamic space of encounter and permeability.

The tower proper has approximately 140 units making a mix of 3, 2, 1 bedroom apartments including studio apartments on the lower floors. The penthouses found on the top 3 levels are unravelled from the built form with balconies wrapping the whole facade, and further terrace penthouses are situated on levels 2 to 7.

As this will be a landmark project for Crow’s Nest and that of Sydney its form will be integral to making a distinction to the Sydney skyline.
